The best thing about this year is that they're on the same schedule now!
Lauren was happy to have lots of good friends and familiar faces in Mrs. Bauer's class.
Caleb's two BEST friends are in Mrs. Buchanan's class! AND, Mrs. Buchanan goes to our church!

What we'll remember about the first day of school:
• Daddy went into work late! How could I ever have gotten everyone ready, taken pictures, and carried all those school supplies without him?
• Andrew wishing he were going to school (He really wished he could pack his lunch, get ready for school, and he even asked "Who's MY teacher?")
• Making cookies with Andrew to pass the time until the kids got home. He loved this. See, there are some perks to staying home with Mom, buddy!
• Andrew telling the kids when they got in the car, "We have a surprise for you--it's cookies!"
• Getting a recap of their first day:
Lauren's highlights: playing with friends at recess, music, the pirate song, getting socks for her her new-shoes-blisters, eating as a guest at the nut-free table with her friend Sydney
Caleb's highlights: reading the "4th grade survival guide" written by Derek, recess, sitting within arm's reach of both Dallin and Jared in class, getting popcicles
